The Photography and Graphic Design Team of Campus Information Services supports the art needs of RU-info, RU-tv, and the Communications and Marketing Department, which supports Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. Students have the opportunity to photograph subjects in the studio, cover campus events, and other design promotional materials such as flyers, posters, etc.
Position Qualifications and Requirements
Must currently be enrolled as a matriculated Rutgers student.
Previous experience in a photography and graphic design is preferred, but not required.
Available to work 10 hours per week during the academic semester (including final exam periods). Training programs and special projects will be assigned as necessary. Student colleagues will be responsible for covering the hours they have agreed to work.
Able to work for at least one academic year.
Finish an initial three-month probationary period, including any involvement requirements, prior to becoming a full-fledged information assistant.
Able to respond to questions or concerns in an empathetic and nonjudgmental manner toward a wide range of human concerns. Able to express oneself clearly: possess voice quality, enunciation, cheerfulness, and customer service skills.
